Amman, Jordan – May 2025
Fikr Ventures founder and EdTech thought leader, Mohamad Khawaja, has launched a new school tour under the engaging title “Me vs. the Robot: Who’s Smarter?”—a dynamic and interactive seminar designed to spark curiosity among students and teachers about the rise of Artificial Intelligence and its implications for learning and life.
Held in collaboration with local schools, the session features stories, real-life AI examples, and live demonstrations that empower young minds to understand how AI learns, when to use it, and when not to. The seminar kicks off with a gripping medical story where ChatGPT helped identify a rare condition after 17 doctors failed—highlighting the transformative potential of AI in real-world scenarios.
Throughout the session, Khawaja emphasizes a key message: AI is powerful, but it should not replace our ability to think critically. Students were introduced to machine learning basics, the importance of data, and practical use cases in education, with an open discussion about whether AI could or should replace teachers.
To wrap up, attendees received free access to the global learning platform SkillsBuild.org—offering valuable resources for both students and educators to enhance their digital skills and career readiness.
Khawaja, who has spent over 20 years at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and education, described the tour as “a mission to inspire the next generation to become future-ready learners and responsible innovators.”
The tour continues across several schools in Jordan, with plans to expand regionally. Interested institutions are encouraged to reach out to host upcoming sessions.
